Blue Tomorrows Releases The Dreamy “Sound of Moving”; Debut Drops Next Month

There’s a peaceful nostalgia that comes over me while listening to Blue Tomorrows’ “Sound of Moving”. Sarah Nienaber’s voice is like the whisper of a glorious dream. Remnants of memories you wake up with after a beautifully melancholy vision; memories that never existed before your head hit the pillow, but ones you desperately try to […]

Blanck Mass : Animated Violence Mild

Blanck Mass, aka Benjamin John Power, makes music in extremes. From his debut self-titled in 2011 to his Sacred Bones Records debut Dumb Flesh in 2015 to 2017s World Eater, Power’s music world is loud, visceral, and not for the faint of ear. Blanck Mass’ sound is industrial, with EDM, drone, and ambient mixed in […]

Lightning Bolt Return In October With ‘Sonic Citadel’; Listen To “Air Conditioning”

The first time I heard Lightning Bolt was over a decade ago. A friend of mine came by the house for an evening of beer drinking and music listening. He had an external hard drive he’d bring over with all of his music on it and would bestow upon me new and exciting bands and […]

Bon Iver : i,i

Justin Vernon appeared out of the cold Wisconsin woods back in 2007 and won over our hearts with an album filled with his scratch and dent white boy soul, earnest heartbreak songs, and a DIY approach that sounded honest and raw. For Emma, Forever Ago, a nothing left to lose record for Vernon, was him […]

Monarch : Beyond The Blue Sky

A time when headier states of mind, triple guitar attacks, and soulful undertones brought forth the best in us. […]

Astral TV Ready ‘Travelling The Circuits’; Listen To “Different Dreams”

The duo, which consists of Rasmus Rasmussen(Causa Sui, Aerosol) and Keith Canisius, built an album around the idea of electronic music that takes you […]

Spoon : Everything Hits at Once//The Best of Spoon

It’s hard to believe Spoon have been around long enough to warrant releasing a ‘best of’ collection, but here we are. It’s 2019 and Spoon have just released a 13-track collection of tracks that cover from 2001s Girls Can Tell clear up to 2017s Hot Thoughts. Everything Hits at Once: The Best of Spoon is […]

Jonas Munk & Nicklas Sorensen : Always Already Here

I spent the afternoon in some musty old record shop on a nondescript side street for an afternoon deep dive into gatefold sleeves and incense-laced air. Checking the “electronic” bin I come across cats like Cluster, Kluster, Tangerine Dream, Terry Riley, Klaus Schulze, and Jonas Munk & Nicklas Sorensen. Jonas Munk and Nicklas Sorensen? Never […]

Italian native Marco Santucci de Magistris, aka INUIT, takes a deep dive on his debut release IIAALI on the always amazing Aural Canyon Records. IIAALI is one of those albums that allows you to close out the world and lock in with something deeper and something bigger than you. Through the use of synthesizers, de […]
