Nashville…not THAT one, the other one

Last night was our vacation dinner out, and since we’re in Brown County we made that dinner at Big Woods Brewing. It’s a tradition for our family to get pizza and pulled pork nachos at Big Woods. The first time we ate there was 2012 I believe, and we’ve been going back ever since for their tasty pies and out of this world nachos. They also have their own beer, via their Quaff On! Brewing.

We had a five cheese pizza, a hot honey pepperoni pizza, and a Steak Moderna pizza. All fantastic. I didn’t have a beer, so instead I got their Hard Truth Old Fashioned. It wasn’t bad, but a little light on the bitters.

After we got back we played a game of Apples To Apples, then sat out by the campfire. I went in and my son and I played a game of pool, then we did doubles with my oldest and their girlfriend. We got beat, so I headed upstairs and watched Sicario II : Day of the Soldado and had some leftover pizza.

This morning we made our way back to Nashville for some coffee and “fancy” donuts. Not quite cake, not quite yeast…more like a croissant with toppings. It was quite good, whatever it was. Our 23-year old arrived yesterday, but she’s decided she needs to head back today. She misses Celeste, plus she starts her new job tomorrow at a new Great Clips. She figured rushing around on her first day to a new job might not be the best idea. I agree.

Probably going to grill chicken and veggies later. My wife and some of the kids plan on going to Brown County State Park for some swimming at their community pool. I’ll stay here and watch little Dot and work on some music. We also have to jump start my son’s car and get to an Autozone so they can check the battery and possibly put in a new one.

Vacation. Whatcha gonna do?
