Modified Magic Release Self-Titled Debut May 3rd With Library of the Occult; Listen To “Curse of the Inverted Pyramid”

Coming out of the Garden State, New Jersey’s Modified Magic conjure images of fireside incantations and doom-heavy drives into the long, long night. Towing the line between Gothic rock, chugging metal, and the swirling psychedelia of artists like Goblin, Fabio Frizzi, as well as modern purveyors of horror score moods like Wolfmen of Mars, Brass Hearse, and The Hologram People. Guitars, chugging bass, explosive drums, and moody keys all come together in a swirl of diesel fuel, lost souls, and melancholy.

Next Friday, May 3rd, Modified Magic will release their self-titled debut with Library Of The Occult. The record is being released both digitally and in a 600 pressing run of 180gm ‘Crystal Ball’ Purple vinyl. As with most LOTO releases, those 600 copies will go quick, so don’t sleep on snagging a copy next Friday.

But why wait till next Friday to hear the album? How about we get a preview of what your ears have to look forward to and check out single “Curse of the Inverted Pyramid”. This track is the perfect doorway into the world of Modified Magic; lilting strings, jazz-inflected drums, and chugging guitar, and enough candle-lit vibes to last you till Halloween. “Curse of the Inverted Pyramid” will satiate your appetite for all things Gothic, at least until the full album drops on May 3rd.

Listen to “Curse of the Inverted Pyramid” below, and then be sure to hit up Library of the Occult next Friday morning and grab this slab of doomed wax while they last.
