Just a quick note to say hello and I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving tomorrow. I’ll be dining right here on the Hubner compound with more Hubners. It should be a wonderful time. Lots of grub, pie, coffee, wine, insufferable waist lines, and a longing for stretchy pants. I’m sure we’ll play some board games, listen to music, laugh, belch, get tired, eat some more, and start the process all over again. We also plan on watching ‘Elf’ at some point. It’s a family and holiday favorite here.
A few things I’m thankful for, in case you were wondering: my family(wife, kids, dog, parents, brother, etc), a roof over my head, a car that runs, a turntable that works, books to read, music to write, neighbors that leave me alone, a job that pays the bills AND that isn’t a detriment to my health, going to the movies with my son(we saw ‘Thor’ over the weekend), my daughter’s love for Dr. Who, my other daughter’s love for feng shui, my wife’s knack for budgeting, Netflix, pajama pants, craft beer, pizza, my curiosity towards the universe, and Black Friday Record Store Day….
Yep, this Friday is Black Friday. I abhor Black Friday shopping and the soulless conglomerates that keep their stores open on Thanksgiving or open at midnight the night of so they can make ton of bucks off of idiots, while pulling their employees away from their families….but I LOVE Black Friday RSD. 7am is the right time to go grab some sweet, sweet vinyl rarities and exclusives. Looking forward to that.
Okay, everyone have a great Thanksgiving. I forgot to mention how thankful I am of my readers, and especially my fellow bloggers. Folks like Sounds Like Orange, 1537, Temporal Distortion, I Lost My Panties In The Mosh Pit, Waiting For A Word, and Eclectic Grooves…if it weren’t for you folks I’m not sure I’d still be doing this. Okay, I’d still be doing it, but it wouldn’t be nearly as fun. So thank you. And in case Thanksgiving isn’t something you celebrate, no worries. Just eat in absolute excess, unbutton your pants, and attempt to find a comfortable sitting position until you fall asleep or have to go to the bathroom. BAM! That’s Thanksgiving!

Thank you, you big mushy sap!
Doubly thank you for the crash course in Thanksgiving – I shall walk around all day tomorrow at work with my pants unbuttoned in solidarity.

If you can mutter something about “da Bears” or maybe ask a co-worker how those Dolphins are doing in the third, it’ll be as if you’re in any American household enjoying right along with us(except of course my household…we listen to music, not watch football.)

Yup, da Bears are looking good on that rebound on the 4th and 6, with all the bases loaded.
I’m practically American!

Nah, I took the week off and just kept to myself. It was good, really good, but time to get back to the world!

I was off as well the whole week. From Saturday to Tuesday I was dealing with a stomach bug, then my kids got sick. Great timing, flu!
Glad you had a nice time off. You deserved it.

Hey man! I’m glad to hear that you and your family had a great Thanksgiving this year.
Also, thanks for the shout out for Eclectic Grooves. By the way, you used to link to my blog on your old website. Would you be willing to do this again?
Sadly, I haven’t been doing great lately, but I still hope to be able to post a “Year-end best albums” list on Eclectic Grooves.

I’m sorry to hear that, man. I hope things get better for you.
I never changed anything from the last theme to the new one. You should still be on there. I’ll make sure it’s back up if it’s not.
Hope things get better for you.

Thanks for your kind thoughts J.
Yeah, my blog used to be listed on the right hand side of your page. I checked under the section “Check these folks out”, but my blog link isn’t listed there.
If you can add me back, that would be awesome.
Be on the lookout for a new “Best albums of 2013” post on Eclectic Grooves.
