Alan Sinclair is one of the OGs of the imagined soundtrack world. For years he’s been releasing era-perfect records as Repeated Viewing, slabs of haunted and cursed wax that emulate a world of scuzzy late night movies that had higher budgets for recreational drugs than for special effects and proper cinematographers. But the one thing that all these slashers, ghost stories, and exploitation flicks had in common was their very DIY approach to the scores. Where would Fulci and Argento be without Fabio Frizzi and Walter Rizzati? Refn without Cliff Martinez? Carpenter without…Carpenter?
Repeated Viewing has been a musical horror house for years, giving us his musical take on the world of gritty street crime, Gothic hauntings, and things that go bump in the night. His mixture of vintage synths and knack for knocking out a serious techno beat has made Repeated Viewing an outstanding musical project with both serious grooves and melodic intent.

The latest from Repeated Viewing is the sleek, moody, and dance-heavy Break The Faith, and it’s being released via the great Library of the Occult on 2/21. According to LOTO, “Repeated Viewing creates a grungy, unsettling atmosphere but funnels it into a streamlined, kinetic industrial dancefloor behemoth. a calculated evolution from the shadows into the strobe lights.”
“This is music for the rave in the ruins, a vital and visceral shift. Don’t just listen -submit.”
Break The Faith is everything you want in a Repeated Viewing album, and more. It does feel like a haunted discotheque; a pulsating house of rhythm, mystery, and murder all with one hell of a beat. Track “Flying Ointment” combines all those elements into a frenetic dance track; a fast-paced synth line bringing to mind classic NES video games with the electro vibes of bands like Le Matos, early Ministry, and late night 80s sci-fi. This one grabs you and doesn’t let go till you’re a sweaty mess(or dead.)
A Repeated Viewing album release is an event, and ‘Break The Faith’ is getting 2026 off to a smashing start. Album drops 2/21, but you can listen to single “Flying Ointment” below.
