Tomorrow’s Harvest

Pleasant surprise waiting for me when I got home from work.

I’ve been listening to it all week since I got a download code on Monday, but I haven’t really LISTENED to it.

Spinning it for a second time with a beer in hand and I have to say I’m floored. I plan on writing a review, possibly this weekend even.

It’s an album with many depths, and if you’re at all familiar with Boards of Canada that statement won’t sound nearly as pretentious as it did when I just re-read it.

If you’re not familiar with Boards of Canada, then here’s my nickel tour: strange messages received from the static…being alone in a lighthouse and seeing strange lights over the sea…VHS tapes running old, forgotten educational programs…breakbeatsand analog synths creating synthetic emotions…do androids dream of Boards of Canada? If they were built to the right specifications, yes.
